Camera words...

Directional mics: needs to be facing the person speaking. Either above them or below them.

A Dolly: Keeping the camera steady, so the audience has a better experience when watching- no motion thats unnecessary.

Track and dolly: Even smoother because it's on a track.

One advantage of using a dolly is being able to create a tracking shot changing the camera view from a pan or a zoom, you are able to move with the character- for example walking down a corridor. Also , if a camera is heavy and expensive, it makes it lighter and safer- your less likely to damage the camera. It is also more easier to get a higher angle. Notwithstanding the smoothness of the shot that a dolly makes.

Walking down a corridor
walking outside
running down the road for the bus.
